Crafty Projects

A Gallery of My Favorite Craft Projects

This is my Tree of Life. It stands in our family room year round. The branches are tiger wood branches that I purchased from the Orchard Nursery in Orinda. I die cut the butterflies with my Big Shot and gave each a different look adding distress ink, bling, glitter or tendrils. The branches are secured to a cast iron vintage christmas tree stand I bought from Ebay. The base is a paper mache round box that I covered with fabric and decorative nails.

Shadows on the wall of my Tree of Life…I like it a lot!

Here are some funky, fun paper flowers I made from coffee filters. I painted each filter first, then layered them and added stamens from Rose Mille or glitter stones. I put them in Eiffel Tower vases from Hobby Lobby. I like them for spring and summer color that never dies!

This is my first "commissioned piece" requested by my wonderful friends Louisa and Gordon. The Vase is named Shelly…Lou didn't want a naked mermaid-lady so she added the shells as a delicate coverup. This was a project in my early days of paper crafting--when all I knew how use was muffin cups and Washi tape which were all transformed into Shelly's garden.
Shelly lives on their bathroom vanity and I hear she is holding up quite well.

Here is a card I made for Ryan next door…he tended our garden while we were away.

The first card i ever made…for Dave at Valentines…never made another like it...

I made these place cards for Easter dinner at Sandy and Steve's house across the street…cute!

My first foxy cards…the stamps and die cuts are from Lawn Fawn. I bent the tree stamps and painted them with Copic markers. I like the way they turned out rather than using them straight.

A cute little succulent garden I put together...

I made these sunflowers for Kris's birthday present…she loves sunflowers...

My craft room with colic markers and an old photo of Dave and me...

I have to get back to using ribbon and washi tape!

My first embossing folder card…and I made the frame…I painted the embossed parts with Copic markers...

Another embossing folder. I made this for a guy look..
A work in progress…I made this after staying at Bob and Florence Boyds home in the mountains…they had at least 50 hummingbirds off the deck.

I put a twist on some Lawn Fawn tree stamps by bending them…I like it a lot!
